DAY One: VILLAHERMOSA / ARCHEOLOGICAL AREA PALENQUE / HOTEL

Reception at the airport in Villahermosa. We will immediately be going to the archeological zone of Palenque to visit one of the best preserved Mayan cities that holds a lot of history. Your tourist guide will tell you the story of Pakal, the red queen and his warlike people.  We will have our lunch after the visit and will transfer you to your hotel. Dinner at the hotel.

DAY Two: YAXCHILAN / BONANPAK / HOTEL PALENQUE

Early departure towards to the border with Guatemala. We stop midway to have breakfast in a roadside hostel which, by its environment, serves as a precursor to what waits for us. Arrival to the town of Frontera Corozal, where we will board a boat that takes us through the majestic river Usumacinta to the archaeological site of Yaxchilan. Filled with mysticism and set in the forest, the archaeological site of Yaxchilan leads us to the past to show us how the Maya lived and died and the importance of their social hierarchy. Return and lunch at Frontera Corozal. We take the highway again, heading back to Palenque, but not before making a stop in Bonampak, an archaeological site managed by the Lacandon ethnic group. Bonampak is famous for its murals which still retain their original colors which something incredible. Return to the city of Palenque.

Day Three: HTL OUT / MISOL-HA / AGUA AZUL / SAN CRISTOBAL (HOTEL)

Breakfast and check out. We head to San Cristobal. On the way, we will have the opportunity to visit two natural wonders: Agua Azul, with its incredible colors of water in combination with the surrounding greenness which makes it a unique site, and Misol-Ha,  a wonderful cascade with large flow of water surrounded by lush nature. We will take time to cool down with in the breeze and have lunch at the restaurant. Do not forget to take pictures! We continue our journey and accommodation in San Cristobal.

DAY Four: ZINACANTAN / SAN JUAN CHAMULA / CITY TOUR / SAN CRISTOBAL

Breakfast, departure, we will make a tour in the indigenous communities of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan where we will appreciate the culture and traditions of these peoples who still preserve their pre-Hispanic roots. In the afternoon, we tour the city of San Cristobal, with its indigenous and European mixture. We have the whole afternoon to enjoy San Cristobal, walk through its streets, admire its churches and visit a museum. Return to the hotel.

DAY Five: CHIFLÓN / MONTEBELLO / AMATENANGO / SAN CRISTOBAL

Breakfast, departure to Chiflón, an impressive 70 meters waterfall that falls over stone steps and creates turquoise ponds in the forest which makes this place so  unique. We continue our way to the Lagos de Montebello characterized by its beautiful and varied colors, the mixture of water with the light creating a range of colors  from deep blue to emerald green.

Its natural beauty is extraordinary as it is surrounded by an exuberant flora, a perfect place for an unforgettable visit. To end, it is recommended to visit the town of Amatenango, a place renowned for making clay figures. Accommondation in San Cristobal.

6th DAY: HTL OUT / CANNON / CHIAPA DE CORZO / HOTEL

Breakfast, check out, departure to Tuxtla Gutiérrez. Visit to Cañon del Sumidero, boat ride through this natural wonder. Departure to Chiapa de Corzo a colorful town with great history. Bath and Rest time at the hotel. During the night, trip to the Garden of La Marimba, to enjoy this unique instrument typical of this area. We recommend having dinner at one of the traditional restaurants of the downtown.

DAY Seven: HTL OUT / AIRPORT TUXTLA
Breakfast, time to go shopping if the schedule allows it, check out and leaving for the airport. We say goodbye to this beautiful city, its people and hospitality. End of tour!
